Gear & Durability
Everything wears out
Your tools and weapons take damage every time you use them. Watch the little bar under each belt slot — green → yellow → red. When it hits zero the item breaks and is gone — craft a new one at The Forge or buy one on the Player Market. Keep a spare!

Starters never break
Your starter pickaxe, axe and sword are unbreakable — you'll always have a fallback and can never get fully stuck. When a crafted tool breaks, you simply drop back to the starter until you make or buy a new one. Higher tiers also last much longer, so upgrading is a real investment.
| Starter | Unbreakable — your safety net |
| Copper | ~260 uses |
| Diamond | ~560 uses |
| Crystal | ~1,000 uses |
| Ascended | ~1,600 uses |
Only useful actions wear gear: swords wear when they hit, rods only when you land a fish, hoes only when you work soil — no durability wasted on misses.
The gear ladder
Climb the tiers at The Forge. Each step needs the last tier's material plus rarer drops:

Enchanting
At The Forge you can also enchant your gear up to +5 with gems and steel — swords gain attack, armor gains defense, tools gain gathering power. Higher enchants are riskier: a failed attempt burns the materials.
